Thai basil(optional) ,dried tofu (washed, about 300g) cut green onion, ginger ,shallot this is San Bei flavor Braised Dried Tofu , you can replace thai basil with five spice powder or XO sauce to make different flavor of braised dried tofu ! smash garlic and peel it this is really spicy ! so, remove the seeds (and add it at last step) salt in boiled water and boil dried tofu until the water is boiling again wash it ★1 : choose thick and soft dried tofu ★2 : cut into cubs 1.5 Tsp oil in hot pan ,and stir fry shallot add green onion ,ginger ,garlic add 1 Tsp of sugar and stir fry ★3 : oil and sugar is the key to make sauce thicken add 2 Tsps of soy sauce and add 1 cup of water pour the sauce in steam for 20 mins and simmer for 10 mins put dried tofu and sauce back in the pan
, and reduce the sauce ★3 : steam first, then reduce the sauce
oil and sugar will help the sauce stick on dried tofu add some sesame oil ,Thai basil ,and red chili enjoy !
