肉じゃがの作り方 “Japanese-Nikujaga” (Braised beef and potatoes) recipe


“Japanese-Nikujaga”
(Braised beef and potatoes) Ingredients
8~9 potatoes (medium~small)
200g thinly sliced beef
vegetable oil
1.5 onion
1 packaged konnyaku noodles
50cc sake
2 tbsp sugar (30ml)
2 tbsp soy sauce (30ml)
12~13 snow peas Peel 8~9 potatoes, and soak in water. Cut 200g thinly sliced beef into bite-sized pieces. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok pan, fry the beef quickly, and remove from a wok pan. Stir-fry the potatoes in wok pan. when potatoes are coated with the oil evenly, cover the pan. Fry the potatoes for about 8 minutes. In the meantime, cut the 1.5 onion into wedges. After about 8 minutes… Add the cut onion, continue stir-frying. Add the konnyaku noodles, and season with 50cc sake, 2 tbsp sugar (30ml), and 2 tbsp soy sauce. Return the beef back to the pan, and cover, cook. In the meantime, remove the strings from snow peas. Cook the pan for about 20 minutes, while checking the pan several times, along the way. After 20 minutes… To finish, add snow peas and cook briefly.
