They’ve added tripe into dakdori-tang. This is amazing. It looks pretty nice. Looks like a dish served in a restaurant. *Thirsty Korean TV* I review all~ the Anjus (food eaten with drinks) in the world! Charm PD here from Thirsty Korean TV! Good to see you all! Hello Creamies! So today! They’ve added tripe into dakdori-tang (spicy braised chicken)! It’s Gop-doritang. Oh my. Don’t you get the feeling it’ll be very tasty? There’s another gop-doritang product that’s being heavily promoted on social media. It’s 1 serving, and the price is in the $4 range. I was planning to order it. But they say the amount is too little. And I’m suspicious about heavily promoted products. If you want me to review that product,
leave a comment. I ordered from another vendor
that specialize in this dish. There’s not much to show. I’ve searched ‘gop-doritang’ on Naver. I paid 22,000 KRW(18.7 USD). They send you 1 chicken. These are the veggies. It’s sent to you in and icebox with an ice pack. So it’s very cold. And this much beef tripe. This is the key player. There’s no point ordering this
if they don’t give you this tasty sauce. All you need to do is boil it for 10 – 20 minutes.
Very convenient! The vendor is called Ssaeng Doritang. They run a restaurant in Chuncheon
and they also deliver. The restaurant opened in 2007. They’ve been around for a while. How tasty will this gop-doritang be? I’ll try it myself. *Thirsty Korean TV* The water is boiling. I’ve added about 900ml of water. The sauce is a very dark reddish color. Let’s add the sauce and dissolve it. The sauce is very thick! Let it dissolve. The tripe and the veggies go in last. Let’s add the chicken after the sauce dissolves. It’s very sticky.
They must’ve used lots of starch syrup. It’s like tteok-bokki sauce. I’ve never thought about adding tripe into dakdori-tang (spicy braised chicken). When the sauce has dissolved, I’ve cleaned the chicken. Add it into the soup. I’ve put in the chicken. There’s a whole potato. Let’s take it out. You can slice it in half if you want. But we’re going to boil for 20 minutes. I think that’s enough time for it to cook. So I’ll just put it in. Don’t add anything else yet. I’ll boil for 10 minutes. I think 2 – 3 people can share this as an anju. The chicken comes chopped. All you need to do is rinse it with water. “Why are you drinking non-alcohol beer today?” Because I drank yesterday. It’s been boiling for 10 minutes. The broth became thicker. Now we can add the tripe. Put ’em all in. Then add all the remaining veggies. Now boil for another 10 minutes. It’s so convenient since
the veggies come sliced as well. It looks so nice! This is well worth $18.7. There’s tripe. It looks very nice. Looks like a dish served in a restaurant. The potato. Tripe. The ingredients come sliced. All you need to do is add water and boil. This would be very good for camping. It’s been cooked nicely. Let’s try the broth. You can tell it’s very thick. It’s a rich broth. So nice! I’ll try the broth first. (Trying the gopdori-tang broth) It’s delicious. It has a classic dakdori-tang taste. I’m not getting a tripe flavor yet. It’s sweeter than regular dakdori-tang. It’s very spicy. No one would find this not tasty. It’s spicy. Much spicier than I expected. It’s tasty. It’s a very sweet dakdori-tang. I’m not getting a tripe flavor yet. This is tripe. The onions add sweetness. And I told you that the sauce seems to contain
lots of starch syrup like tteok-bokki. So it’s a bit sweet. Sweet and spicy. It’s very sweet and very spicy. This is spicier than Shin Ramyeon.
It’s tastier because it took so long to cook. Frying rice here will be very tasty. Let’s try a drumstick. The drumstick’s size is similar to Kyochon Chicken. It’s small. (A bite of drumstick.) It’s fresh! (x2) It’s very tender. It’s a fresh small chicken without any foul smell. I’ve just tasted the chicken. It would be a sin to eat this with non-alcohol beer. It’s not gonna work. That’s a no-no. I’ll have a shot. This is dangerous. Charm! Charm! Charm~! Ended up drinking after all. Nice! Let’s try a wing. When we eat tripe soup, the creamy substance comes out and we get a strong tripe flavor. This isn’t like that. It’s about 8/10 dakdori-tang and 2/10 tripe soup. (Another bite of chicken.) Frying rice here will be so nice. Udon or jjolmyeon noodles would be nice too. The broth is sweet. The spring onion is soaked in chicken fat. It’s insane! The MSG flavor isn’t strong. It’s a very popular taste everyone likes. My only concern is the sweetness. It’s quite sweet. It’s a lot sweeter compared to regular dakdori-tang. But if you like that, It’s also spicy. I’m sweating. Let’s drink soju with tripe. Charm! Charm! Charm~! Nice! (Trying the tripe.) It’s not the type of tripe that’s fatty
with lots of creamy substance. This white part is fat. It has the texture of big tripe. The tripe itself is very chewy. It’s not a super tasty tripe. But it goes well with this soup. It’s delicious. So refreshing! (Tasting the soup.) I’ll drink today, and not drink tomorrow. I can’t help it. How can I not drink with this? Doesn’t make sense. Let’s drink. Charm! Charm! Charm~! This is too much to finish by yourself. It also has tripe. I’m gonna cook what I’m craving. Leave the potato. You stay there. It’s not your turn yet. Stay put. The tripe stays in also. You can eat this tomorrow. It’s good for solo drinking. You can add some water and noodles. Put in the rice. So nice! (adding dried seaweed) Looks lovely. And now, If it’s too dry, the cheese won’t melt. The broth melts the cheese. Let it boil. It’ll become sticky soon. It’s going to be very delicious. There’s crust. Good. (x2) It’s cooking nicely. Done. It’s ready to eat. This is so nice. The cheese has melted. Amazing. Let’s try it. There’s crust on the bottom. It’s not burnt. A big spoonful with cheese. (a bite of fried rice with cheese) You think this isn’t tasty? Shall we bet on it? It’s cheese rice. I’ll try it. Let’s drink. Charm! Charm! Charm~! The rice is tastier. The gopdori-tang was tasty too. But with rice, it’s insane! I left plenty of tripe. It’s very delicious with the rice. I’m sweating so much. It’s so tasty! So nice! See the tripe? The creaminess of the melted cheese is so tasty! (a bite of cheese rice and tripe) Charm! Charm! Charm~! This is really crazy. You must have it with cheese! If you start with a dry fried rice,
it’ll get too dry in the end when the moisture is gone. So make it a bit watery at first. Then you can enjoy very tasty rice until you finish. I started with non-alcohol beer,
so I’ll finish with it. Let’s turn it a bit. Charm! Charm! Charm~! *Final Verdict* Today! There was a problem with the mic. So I’m sweating. My apologies. I’m not sure if the edited version will be okay. I tried gopdori-tang. I highly recommend it. It’s well worth the money. I was supposed to boil for 20 minutes. But I boiled it for a bit longer,
and it’s much tastier. Dakdori-tang is tastier when you braise longer. I recommend that you braise it longer. Anyone would find this tasty. It’s very delicious. I don’t see any shortcomings. It tastes like a very tasty homemade dakdori-tang. And the tripe makes it very unique. It’s bit of a hassle to eat chicken while drinking. So you should enjoy the chicken as a meal. And enjoy the tripe as anju. It’ll be very tasty. I recommend it. There’s just one aspect you might not like. It’s sweet at first. It’s very sweet when you first taste it. The sweet flavor is very strong when it starts to braise. I thought it was too sweet. But as I ate, the taste became balanced. It wasn’t too sweet.
I enjoyed it a lot. And as I’ve told you before, there’s another gopdori-tang that’s popular on social media. If you want me to review that product, leave a comment. I’ll decide whether to review it or not
after reading your comments. Oh, I’ll just leave it up here. I’ll take a poll on reviewing the other product. Cast your vote. I’ll see you all next time! Bye~! Signing off! *Thirsty Korean TV*
