Today’s easy recipe is Spicy Braised Mackerel Pike^^ Braised Mackerel pike is not only quick to make but also easy to eat because I am going to use canned mackerel pike which is prepared to be cooked! First, add seasoning in a bowl and mix 3Tbs soy sauce, ½Tb sugar, 1Tb hot pepper flakes, 1Tb minced garlic, and black pepper Cut potato into a half-moon shape Slice ½ green onion and ½ jalapeno Place chopped potatoes in a pot And add the broth inside the canned mackerel pike Then place mackerel pikes on top of the potatoes Lastly, add a cup of rice water (or water) and the spicy seasoning, and bring to a boil over HIGH HEAT When it boils, bring down the heat to MEDIUM and simmer for about 15 MINUTES After 15 minutes, add sliced green onion and jalapeno Place the lid and simmer for another 10 minutes Meanwhile, stir occasionally and make sure potatoes don’t stick to the bottom of your pot After 10 minutes of simmering, your braised mackerel pike should be ready to be served!
