Today’s theme is! Olive oil! I’ve got a request asking to collect these and attempt frying all kinds of fries. Let’s give it a try. There’s approximately 800 ramen in front of me. Thank you to all those who sent ramen in! But these don’t have that long of an expiration date. It has about 4-6 months.
This here is also by Feb. 2020… I’ll try to eat as much as I can, and if it’s still left, I’ll send it to those who need it. Anyways, that’s that! We have here over a 100 Ansungtagmyun,
one of my favorites. There’s also 100 Jin ramen. There’s lots of Yeol ramen as well, around 150 of them. There’s 40 Shin ramen as well! (Which ramen is the main ingredient for today?!) Today’s main is Chapagetti! All the Koreans out there probably tried at least 2/3 of the ramen here. Chapagetti being one of the must out of all these. But, one of my subscribers suggested that with- not this… This… This! Olive oil! That I collect as much as I could and make fried chicken, shrimp and fries with it. Let’s try it out. Hold on, this is too small…
How long is this gonna take me…? (All of today) Let’s collect it now. Chapagetti, Jjawang and Jajangmyeon! These three ramen all comes with olive oil. Olive oil! But this one says ‘Veggie Savored Oil’. For Chapagetti, it’s ‘Olive Oil’, and Jjawang, ‘Oil Sauce’… Is this sauce also oil? Probably. (Is this all mine?) Heodoong, no. This isn’t yours. There’s a lot. This is Chapagetti’s olive oil. Let me collect all this on to a frying pan. I can’t let a drop go to waste! It’s coming out! I’ll squeeze all of it out. It’s more than I expected. I think it’s enough for an egg. (Let’s check it out!) Put one pack of olive oil into the frying pan… The time has come! Let’s crack an egg in. Let’s do this~ It’s enough just to fry one egg. Ooh, looks good. Get ready, one two three! Oh no… The yolk broke… Chapagetti’s distinct smell is coming from here. It kinda feels like the spicy Chapagetti, and somewhat like… a devil like wings(?) can be felt. (Collected 67!)
Wow… A lot more came out than I thought. The time has come. This is Chapagetti olive oil. I can’t let this spill… These are all olive oil from the ramen subscribers sent in. I can’t spill this… We’re here on the stove top. Turn it on, and let’s wait until it heats up. (Ingredients) First up! We have shrimp. Followed by sweet potatoes! Last but not least… Oh, this is the batter. (Final ingredient is chicken) I’ll peel these off first. Don’t want it to be too thick when being fried, but I don’t want it to be too thin cause then it’ll lose its crunchiness… That’s the hard thing about it. (Cutting the rest up in just the right size…) Thank you for coming to Heopop’s cooking class. Today’s main ingredient is this Chapagetti’s… Where is it…? Here it is! Olive oil! Let’s fry food with this. (1. Potatoes & Sweet potatoes) First up, potatoes. Plop plop~ Let’s go! Next up, more potatoes. In you go! The potato is being fried by Chapagetti olive oil! How cool! But I don’t know how long I should fry this for… Flip it over… I think it still needs some time. It’s woking really well! Let’s put sweet potatoes into the batter! Chapagetti olive oil turned out to be real olive oil! These are potatoes and these sweet potatoes. Looks so good. The distinct Chapagetti smell is coming from here. The kind of smell when veggies are fried… It smells like that. Flip it over again. Ooh, it’s getting a yellowish tint! It’s turning into yellow, my favorite color! Let’s take one out and see if it’s done or not. Behold, fried potatoes made with Chapagaetti olive oil. Let’s try it. So hot. Mmmh, it just tastes like french fries. I can slightly smell the veggies. It’s quite different from the usual olive oil or cooking oil. It’s better than regular olive oil. So good he he. It’s all done now. Let’s take all of it out. I’ll try sweet potato first!
This is really well cooked. Let’s eat it. So hot. Wow, this is awesome. The cool thing is- you know how there’s this greasy feeling when eating fried food? There’s none of that. Let’s make the cameraman eat it. Open up! He only ate this much… How is it? There’s no greasiness at all! Are you sure? This is really good. Mmmh~ Now, it’s time for shrimp. In to the batter! Let’s do this. Shrimp, in! Why isn’t anything happening? Did it turn off…? NG Shrimp, in! Let’s separate it cause I don’t want them to stick… Looks good. Sizzle sizzle… This sound is not coming from my mouth. Sizzle sizzle sizzle Since shrimp is done quickly, I’ll flip it over. Whoa, so pretty! The color’s all yellow and orangish. Wow, looks good. Wanna see? No, no! Gotta make it quickly. Looks good… Let’s turn it off and try it now. I’ll take it out now. Whoa! So pretty. Let’s taste it now. In one big mouth! So hot… It’s so savory. It’s a really savory fried shrimp. It’s all cooked. It’s all cooked. Bravo bravo! Open up, you guys! (3. Fried Chicken!) That was only the beginning. It’s! What was the name? Chicken! Let’s try it. My love, chicken legs, plop. My other love, chicken wings… Where are you? Find chicken wings… The time has come. This is not a snowman, it’s chicken legs. Let the batter drop, and when it starts slowing down… Go! Go!!! Go!!!!! How cool. I feel like I’m at a chicken store. Today’s special is original fried chicken. Looks awesome. Wow… It’s awesome. Let’s flip it over. Flip the legs and the wings… Wow, the colors are crazy! What’s this? Chara chara cha Chapagetti~ Olive oil ♪ This isn’t just olive oil, it has a hint of veggie in it. Sizzle sizzle, yummy chicken ♪ Since the oil starting to pop, Let’s block it. The sound is out of this world! Listen up. Kinda sounds like rain. Flip it over… There’s a storm coming this way! Let’s lower the temp a little. ※ Do not follow this at home ※ Tada ~ I think it’s burnt a little… but it’s alright! Let’s taste it. How will it taste? First up, wings. This is better when eaten with bare hands! It’s so hot. No napkins? It’s super crunchy! Mmmh~ How should I explain this? I don’t know how to explain this… Let me try some more. It’s definitely different from when frying with cooking oil! It’s really savory…
It doesn’t have any leftover unpleasantness. It somewhat tastes like beans too… It’s a chicken that’s savory from the skin itself. The outside is crunchy while the inside is really tender! It’s a bit undercooked though… ★Cooking again★ Whoa, check this out. It sort of looks burnt… Since this is olive oil and all, the smoke point is lower than the average cooking oil. I guess that’s the reason. It’s alright though! I can still eat it. I’ll just leave out parts that are really burnt. Let’s eat it again! What does it taste like? Mmmh, it’s all done! The skin is really savory. How cool. (All hail fried food…) I’ll try the wings now. It really has a rich flavor coming right from the skin. How cool. Anyways, with the olive oil from Chapagetti, I collected as much as I could… and tried making fried potato, sweet potato,
shrimp, and chicken with it! To conclude, can olive oil from Chapagetti fry food? It does!!! It was really good though… But since olive oil has a low smoking point,
be extra careful when cooking with it! Your food might just burn up! If there’s anything else I should try,
please feel free to share your opinion! Where? In the comments! Don’t forget to give this video a like! Buh-bye! (What other experiments should I try?)
