(upbeat music) – Chef Bowers, thanks for having me. – Kind hearts and hungry
bellies are always welcome in my kitchen. – Let’s get started.
– Yes. – What is your idea of perfect happiness? – All my family, all the people I love, long table, sun shining, really good food, lots of wine, and the ocean is close by. – What is your greatest fear? – Greatest fear would be all the people at that table arguing. – Of the dishes you prepare, which one would you never eat yourself? (Rodney grunts) – I hate any dish with
cooked green peppers. – What is one trait that you
dislike the most in yourself? Is that for me? – Yes, try it.
– Great, thank you. – I’m a horrible procrastinator. – Delicious. – Thank you. – You’re greatest extravagance? – Traveling, eating out, I
love the best restaurants, the best places to go, the nicest hotels. That’s my extravagance. – Place you eat the most
often on your days off? – Butter chicken I got
to Lahore Tikka House, if I’m craving naan. And if it’s Vietnamese, I
love Pho Hung on Spadina. Man the 16B is out of this world. – What talent do you wish you had? – Throw a hundred mile an hour fast ball. – If you were to be reincarnated, what would you come back as? – Nobody messes with a great white shark. (imitates shark biting) – Okay so I’m a bit of
an Instagram creeper, what is the story behind this? – Who is it, this? I mean let’s just say it,
if you haven’t dressed up in drag you haven’t really lived. – And this one? – Oh man, peanut butter and chocolate. Can you blame me for being
a couple pounds overweight? Don’t shame me? – Do you scream in your private life as much as you do in the kitchen? – I never scream in the kitchen and a gentleman never kisses and tells. – One word to describe restaurant critics? ♪ Overrated ♪ – What did you have for dinner last night? – Cooked for the kids, mashed potatoes, pork chops, broccoli and
applesauce with the broccoli. – Favorite ingredient to work with? – It’s gotta be finishing
dishes with fresh herbs. I love fresh herbs at the end of any dish. – Here’s $10,000 how would you spend it? – Kid’s education, down
payment on a Lamborghini? – First word that comes
to mind when I say foodie? – Foodie, way over used,
like who uses that anymore? – Last weekend on Earth,
what city are you eating in? – Bangkok maybe, Tokyo? Paris, you’ve gotta love Paris. – Favorite meat? – Something gamey, caribou, bison, moose, I grew up on moose. – What did you want to be
when you were growing up? – Again, I wanted to
fly, so pilot, astronaut, every nine year old boy’s fantasy. – Most embarrassing cooking moment? – I once tried to serve burnt fish chowder to Susur Lee at a cooking competition. – Okay Chef Bowers, burning question.
