What drives me in my work is that I can work together with a fantastic team of passionate colleagues. And that we make fantastic products all together for our customers. This is really great to do. I am Theo Wijsman and I’m Product Application Expert Brewing at DFS. I started in brewing approximately 35 years ago at a large brewery in The Netherlands. What I like most in the brewing industry is to work with different people with different backgrounds. And that we make a fantastic beer all together. When I was working at a craft brewery, it was all about creativity and differentiating from other brewers. And that was just great fun. Nowadays the consumers, they don’t want to look back at what they drank one month or even one year ago. They just want to have something new. They want to be surprised every day. And I think there we can also come in with our expertise. I’m responsible for guiding our customers to make the right choice of the enzyme solutions that we have and to help them to achieve the right product specifications. We can help the breweries by achieving their KPI’s on sustainability by for instance our enzyme Brewers Compass. Which will allow breweries also to work with barley instead of malt. And by doing so lower their costs on water usage, electricity, etcetera If we want to enable better food for everyone, if you look at our brewing team. Then I think we work closely together as a team. The brewmasters but also the R&D specialists And we work together to find the best solutions, the enzyme solutions, for our customers.
