Behind the Beer | Short’s Pure Michigan Autumn IPA

Today we’re here at the production
facility here at Short’s Brewing Company where we’re packaging the perfect beer
for the fall: the Pure Michigan Autumn IPA. Short’s Brewing Company has been really
proud and happy to pair with Pure Michigan Michigan on this project everything
found in this beer is from a Michigan farmer or producer, so all of the grain,
all of the hops, it was all harvested this year. It’s fresh and it’s a totally
different composition than other ingredients you’d find from other states.
It’s a really nice clean beer. It’s approachable because it’s balanced.
You’re able to taste the malt, the hops, and the yeast. At the brewery,
we capitalize on every experience an opportunity that we can,
for awesomeness for flavor evolution. Enhancing the consumer
experience. I love the fall. The fall seemed like a perfect time for an IPA.
This is a truly classic version. The malt and the hops really shine through. When I first saw Pure Michigan on a
label for a Shorts brew, it felt right. It seems like it’s been kind of our
mission all along, and it seems like a perfect match.
Michigan is a great beer state not only because we have super fresh water, which
is basically the foundation of every beer, but we also have a creative culture
and a lot of hustle here in Michigan so I think we have a lot of people here who
are driven to create something unique. Throughout the entire state you can find
a solid brewery. It doesn’t matter which area of the state you’re in, every
brewery seems to be located in a special spot in the state where there’s
something really cool to do or see. Collaborating with Pure Michigan has
been great. We feel really privileged to be part of such an awesome campaign because
we share a lot of the same values and feelings about Michigan. We’re really
happy with creating this beer for the fall: the Pure Michigan Autumn IPA.
