Boost your bbq experience with Bord’oak grilling planks


We are Bord’oak
and we love barbecue cooking. This perfect pleasure
of barbecue cooking is even greater with recipes
using planks. We started using sawdust, Woodchips, or cedar planks. But we believe there could be more with oak: Oak has a smooth smoke with no aftertaste
and gives a beautiful golden color to our Fishes, Seafood, and Meats, for a perfect meal, with good wines. And here in Bordeaux, we know a lot about great wines,
and about the oak barrels that are used to give them even more flavor. Barrels are used new or second hand for a
few years in Bordeaux before being discarded, shipped elsewhere,
used for aging whisky or end up as furniture. We thought there was really something else
to do with them and reveal their flavor once again. We’ve tried a lot of options and discovered their great smoking potential
in Ben’s garden. However, barrels are not flat for being used
as planks, and the volume of available barrels is not
huge either. So we decided to manufacture our own planks out of oak, and infuse them with organic Bordeaux wine. It allows us to produce more, with the right dimensions for the best smoking experience your barbecue
will have! The size will fit all barbecues
Charcoal or gaz; as usual, you’ll have to soak the plank
in water before using it with fish seafood or meats and enjoy it with a well deserved glass of
wine.
