Braised Pork with Coconut Juice – Thịt Kho Nước Dừa Ngon đơn giản

This is Vi. I’m coming back. Today, I’m gonna to show you how to cook Thịt kho nước dừa-
the bacon stewed with the coconut juice. It’s very simple, easy, and very tasty. First at all, we need to marinate the meat. Slice the purple onion and garlic,
and then chop it into small pieces. So for 2 kg of meat,
I use about 4 onions, and 3 garlics. Add in 1 tsp of sauce,
and 2 tsp of seasoning powder. Mix them together. After mixing the sauce,
and seasoning powder, garlic, and onion, add in some soya sauce. Soya sauce helps the meat to have nice smell
and also beautiful color when it’s done. Some people can use the tumeric to have the
yellow, but for me, I’d prefer soya sauce. And after mixing it,
leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. After 20 to 30 minutes, you heat the oil and
fry the meat with the small heat. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes for one side. Until the meat turns slightly yellow,
turn it over. When the meat is yellow at the both sides,
take them out. After that, put the rest of the garlic
and soya sauce into the oil pan, stir it unti it turns slightly yellow. Add in the coconut juice put all the meat back. Simmer them for about 1 hour. Every 20 minutes,
you come and turn the meat over. For this food, you have to be patient. Braise it with very small heat
until all the water’s gone. Now, the meat is done. The combination between onion, garlic,
soya sauce, and meat makes the smell really really nice. Slice the meat thinly. We eat with rice
or we can do fresh spring rolls with vegetable. So yummy! After slicing the meat, put on the disk, and
put some sauce on top.
