Braised Prawns: Ginger, green onion, soy sauce, wine, sugar, white peppers + 6 minutes! That’s it!

To make braised prawns, we will only need: 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sugar, 5 tbsp of cooking wine, 0.5 tsp of white pepper, 2 green onions, about 20 grams of ginger slices, and 1 lb of prawns. That’s it! Cut off the eyes part and the sharp spine above the head. Also cut off the legs. So they don’t get burned when we stir fry the prawns. Cut the back open to get the black line out. The other videos will move on to the next step here. However, only 1.5% of humans are able to pull out the whole black line without breaking the tail part. For us, we may need to manually squeeze this pXXp out, and rinse it off. We’ve got everything ready. Heat up the wok until you can feel the temperature without touching it, I am saying it like you are going to touch it… Then heat up about 2 tbsp of oil. (It’s okay if it’s still cold.. Just don’t touch it.) Add the prawns. Spread them to make sure everyone is touching the wok’s surface. You can shake the wok like this to make sure all the prawns get some oil. Cook over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes. Then flip them over. You can flip them all at once like this. Or 98% of people may want to flip them one by one. Pan fry the other side for 3 more minutes. I haven’t added any seasoning yet. The color already looks good. Here comes the cooking wine. Rinse it around the edge of the wok. Once half of the cooking wine has been evaporated, add the ginger slices and green onion, and the rest of the ingredients: White pepper, sugar, and soy sauce.
