Brewer’s B-Sides – “Doubletowner”

*totally not-awkward laughter* Oscar: Good afternoon.
Searlzy: Hello. Oscar: We’re here to talk about the release of
Young Henrys new Doubletowner With us is Jesse Searls, newly appointed
Head Brewer of said brewery. Jesse, please explain Doubletowner. Searlzy: Well, Oscar, it was actually a really
complex… thought through idea. But we basically wanted to put twice
as much Newtowner in the same vessel. So, as you can see here, it’s roughly
two times the size Hence the uhh… Doubletowner label. Oscar: That’s genius. Oscar: Doubletowner… Is that the double-necked guitar or
double-stacked keyboard of the beer world? Searlzy: It’s actually the double-necked
KEYTAR of the beer world. Oscar: Ooohhh. Oscar: Quick word association. Oscar: DOUBLE. Searlzy: TOWNER. Oscar: TOWNER. Searlzy: Painfully guilty anxiety! *both laugh for some reason* Oscar: I like the moustache,
did you grow that yourself? Searlzy: No! Doubletowner did! *non-canned laughter* Oscar: If you were a rapper,
you could be “Sir Drinks-A-Lot”… Your hit song would be “I Like Big Beers”… Sing it. Searlzy: I like big beers an’ i cannot lie. Other brothers can’t deny. The big beer walks in yer face
an’ ya look at somethin’ and then ya go however the words go… Oscar: *toooooooooooot!* Searlzy: *slightly sadder tooooot* Oscar: If Newtowner is the Rod Stewart of beers… …who is the Doubletowner equivalent? Searlzy: Celine Dion. Oscar: Excellent… *singing*
My beer will go onnn and onnnnnnn… Searlzy: *toooooooooot!* Doubletowner! Twice the malt! Twice the hops! Twice the water! *voice from off camera*
No, it doesn’t have twice the water… Oscar: Now that Young Henrys is a 7 year old,
very mature, very grown up business… …do you think it was a wise decision launching an
extra strong pale ale on our seventh birthday? Searlzy: I don’t think it was only a wise d-shjsh’n [sic]…
I think it was an extra strong… decision. *BANG!* *bossa nova music plays* *tooooooooooot!*
