We are visiting the Kompaan brewery. We actually came up with this name because I started this with my best mate. We started 7 years ago, brewing beer in my own kitchen. In 2012 we started to brew on a larger scale, as a contract brewer… so we could brew our own recipe on a larger scale. We work with a lot of wonderful ingredients… such as the dune water from The Hague, which we use for our beer. We use a great variety of malts, hops and yeasts… and the combinations of these ingredients make our beers so tasteful and unique. The best thing about brewing beer. Well, it’s a wonderful product that connects people, of course… and it just is great fun to develop a beer that has the same qualities. But it’s also exciting to develop a new beer… and start the whole process again from the beginning. This is our Bondgenoot. The Bondgenoot was the first beer we brew. We had the idea of making a beautiful, easy-to-drink craft beer. It has the same alcohol level as lager, but with the great taste of a craft beer. It has 4 different malts, 3 types of hop and a nice Belgian yeast. That gives a beautiful, complex taste of a real craft beer.
