To chop onions for grilling, there’s two ways
that you can do it. First, you can take a half an onion and make big slices through
the onion. With this onion I can get about two slices in. Now, I’m going to turn my onion
about a quarter of the way through and I’m going to make some more slices, like so. And
these work great on skewers. Another way I can do it is to make onion slices, and here
I have a whole peeled white onion. And I’m just going to make some thick slices through
the length of the onion, just be very careful because there’s no flat surface. The onion
can have a tendency to roll around. And that is how you chop onions for grilling.
