As you enter the Centre of Excellence on the ground floor you will be welcomed by our Customer Services team who are located in our stunning reception area. La Boutique offers the finest culinary products and equipment for both the professional chef and gourmet enthusiasts. Café Le Cordon Bleu – our traditional Parisian style Café – provides a variety of pastries, artisan bread, viennoiseries and baguettes which are freshly prepared each day using the same classic techniques as taught to our students. On floors 1 & 4 are our main demonstration theatres where advanced audio-visual technology coupled with state-of-the-art kitchens make learning a truly interactive experience. Our practical lessons take place on floors 1 to 3 with 2 pastry kitchens, 2 cuisine kitchens and one polyvalent kitchen. Here students will learn using the highest quality produce and the freshest ingredients. Inside the kitchens, you will discover a range of state-of-the-art professional equipment which enhances the learning experience. Our temperature and humidity-controlled kitchens with seamless extraction include sous-vide water baths, individual student workstations – each with their own oven and induction plates – duck oven, tandoori oven, multi-zone convection ovens professionally equipped bakery rooms featuring stone based deck ovens. Theory lessons are taught in our classrooms on floors three and four utilizing cutting-edge multimedia technology, students from across our curriculum develop fundamental knowledge which underpins the skills required in the professional environment. On the first floor our library and quiet study area features a wide selection of books alongside internet access for further research. On the roof, you’ll find our herb garden providing students with an additional educational resource allowing them to study plants and herbs in their natural state and generating a supply of the freshest cooking ingredients. On graduation, our alumni continue to gain the most sought-after roles in the hospitality industry which is responsible for over 10 percent of worldwide employment and has global sales of over two trillion dollars annually with further growth predicted.
