Florence Cooking Class: Learn How to Make Gelato and Pizza


>>ASHA: I’ve been in Italy for a while now and I’ve been eating a lot of pizza but now I’m actually gonna learn how to make a pizza I’m measuring 500 kilograms of flour onto the scale and then this is gonna be our pizza dough and now I’m gonna mash the Roman tomatoes Ooh! They’re cold Everyone has their own little job some people are mushing the tomatoes some people are breaking up the basil some people are kneading some people are grating the mozzarella the dough is starting to rise look how bouncy it is While we’re waiting for the dough to rise we’re learning how to make some gelato which is going to be out yummy dessert it’s going to be chocolate and vanilla Our gelato is in here it’s gonna take about 45 minutes to make it but I’m getting excited because chocolate is my favorite this is my first time making pizza and I’m designing my own right now I’m gonna put some sauce, some olive oil, basil, tomato, all kinds of good stuff so now I can’t wait to actually try my pizza and how long will this take to cook?>>CHEF: Two and a half minutes, it’s easy Yeah, you just throw it>>ASHA: Okay here it goes shoot, that didn’t work here’s my pizza it’s ready to be eaten look how beautiful this thing is this has been the best night ever I’ve learned how to make pizza for the first time gelato, I’ve made new friends it’s been an amazing experience and now for the final bite mmm yummy I graduated from pizza school >>CHEF: Good job, I’m so proud of you>>ASHA: Thank you, grazie!
