Gulab Jamun Recipe – Cooking with Bosch


Add 200ml of Water to a medium-sized pot 150g of Sugar 2 Pieces of Green Cardamoms 5 to 8 Strands of Saffron Bring to boil and simmer for 10 Minutes Strain the Infused Sugar Syrup Set aside to cool Place a sieve on a mixing bowl, add 220g of Milk Powder 120g of Plain Flour 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder ¼ Teaspoon of Soda Bicarbonate Sieve to mix evenly Gradually add in 150ml of Fresh Milk and mix well Add in 30g of Ghee and mix well Cover bowl with Cling Wrap Let it rest for 10 Minutes Until it forms a Dough Lightly coat hands with Vegetable Oil Portion the Dough into balls of roughly 30g Heat up 1.5L of Vegetable Oil over Medium Heat Add the Dough Balls into the oil Fry until the Balls turn Golden Brown Let the Gulab Jamun Balls sit for 10 Minutes to cool Add the Balls into the Infused Sugar Syrup Soak for 1 Hour In a Hand Blender beaker, add 20g of Pistachio Nuts 20g Almond Nuts Blend until Finely Chopped Serve Gulab Jamun with some Sugar Syrup Garnish with Chopped Nuts
