Welcome to How To Cook That
I am Ann Reardon Today we are making sweet surprise hamburgers.
You have been requesting these for a while now and
I did a quick search for them and all the ones I could find had fondant inside so I
made up these ones using yummy ingredients instead.
But before we dive into doing that do that I am wondering if you can do me a huge favour
and nominate how to cook that for a streamy award. Click on the link below, then click
submit it is that easy two buttons and you’re done.
Now to make these yummy sweet hamburgers first of all we need to make the rolls. To do that
place your flour sugar and baking powder into a bowl and mix them together.
Then in a measuring cup add 1/3 cup of oil, one egg and then enough milk to make it up
to 1 cup total. Then whisk that together using a fork
Now all of the quantities that you need for all of the bits and pieces of this hamburger
are written for you easily on the website howtocookthat.net and I’ll put a link to that
in the description just below this video. Then pour all of that into the dry ingredients
and mix until just combined. Place the mixture into a sandwich bag and
cut off a decent sized corner. Then pipe circles of mixture onto a baking tray.
Yes I have cut my finger, for those of you who are not following on social media and
you don’t know about that yet, I was trying to open something and the scissors slipped.
I will spare you the gory details. Sprinkle those with some sesame seeds and
then place them in the oven until they are baked through, now this won’t take long only
about 5 minutes. To make our lettuce white chocolate fudge,
combine the butter, sugar and cream in a bowl. And then heat that in the microwave for 1
minute then stir it really well, then keep heating it in 30 second intervals on high
until it is bubbling like this. Add enough green colour to make a deep green.
And then chop the white chocolate and tip that into the bowl, and stir it well. If it
becomes too thick and lumpy like this then it doesn’t have quite enough liquid, we’ve
evaporated a bit too much off. So all we just need to add an extra tablespoon of cream and
stir that through and it will come back to a nice paste.
Line a container with baking paper and spoon it in and then we are going to leave that
to cool. To make the tomatoes take a raspberry or other
red candy, like red licorice and squash it down using a rolling pin into a round tomato
shape. For the hamburger meat patty pour cream over
your chocolate and heat it in the microwave in 20 second bursts until it is smooth and
glossy like this. Crumble in five of your rolls that we just made. I just used the ones
that were not quite round or the worst looking ones. And stir it through to make it look
thick and lumpy. Then take spoonfuls of that and put it onto
baking paper flatten out a little and put then out it into the fridge to set. For the sauce place the brown sugar, butter
and cream in a bowl, stir well and heat that one in the microwave in 20 second bursts until
it is thick and smooth. Now you can use this, this is basically just a caramel sauce so
you can use this over ice-cream or whatever you want to do. By now your fudge should be cooled enough
us to handle it so take a thin slice, place it onto some baking paper and flatten it out
using your fingers so that it looks like roundish pieces of lettuce. Now for the cheese, melt some white chocolate,
no need to temper it just melt it, then add some oil based or powdered yellow food colour
and stir through really well. The reason we don’t use the liquid colours is because it
would cause the chocolate to seize. Spread it thinly onto some baking paper and
place it into the fridge to set and then once it is firmed cut into squares that are about
the right size for your burgers. To assemble your burgers
Start with a bun, add a dollop of caramel sauce, then a meat patty, tomatoes, fudge
lettuce, chocolate cheese, a little more caramel sauce, why not and then your sweet bun on
top. You guys always ask me “Who ate these?” well
I had a great this week hanging out with some Aussie you tubers and the lovely Sharon the
