How to Cook Baked Macaroni


Hey guys! Today, we will be making baked macaroni This is a remake video. I made this so that the tutorial can be clearer and easier to understand. Here is the complete list of ingredients, including the measurements for each one. If you are ready, let’ s get started! We’ll first prepare the meat sauce Heat a cooking pot pour the olive oil into it cook until the oil starts to get hot and then we’ll be adding the ground beef this is also known as “giniling na karne ng baka” in Filipino we’ll cook this until its color turns light brown while the meat is cooking, make sure that the onions and bell peppers are ready add the onion this is chopped yellow onion now, let’s add the bell peppers these are red an green bell pepper I did the same thing with the bell peppers, as with the onion – these were chopped I only used 1 small bell pepper for each color let’s give this a stir and then, we’ll add the diced tomato I am using canned diced tomato continue to stir cook for 3 minutes now, let’s pour the beef broth you can also use water as an alternative but, it will be better to as a piece of beef bouillon into it to make it more flavorful add paprika and tomato paste thoroughly stir the mixture cover the cooking pot continue to cook in medium heat for 20 minutes at this point, the sauce is ready by the way, make sure the check this while were simmering make sure that the liquid does not evaporate completely you can add more beef broth or water, if it starts to get dry let’s season this here is the sugar salt and ground black pepper stir we’ll set this aside, for now now, let’s cook the macaroni boil water and add salt once the water starts to boil add the macaroni I’m using small elbow macaroni for this demonstration follow the package instructions to determine the recommended cooking time normally, it takes 6 to 7 minutes once the macaroni are cooked… drain the water combine the macaroni and meat sauce pour the meat sauce over the macaroni note that we are not applying any heat to either cooking pots were just trying to combine both ingredients together we are not cooking this, at this point in time once the meat sauced is transferred completely we’ll toss the mixture make sure that it is well blended now let’s add some cheese I am using sharp cheddar cheese for this recipe which are shredded you can also use grated quick melt cheese continue to toss until the cheese gets blended with the rest of the ingredients we will transfer the mixture in a baking, pan later on and then set is aside, so that we can prepare the white sauce this is simple to make melt butter in sauce pan add flour we are using all-purpose flour here stir thouroughly make sure to add the flour gradually once the flour and butter is completely blended to the point that the texture begins to get curdy slowly pour the fresh milk we can also use evaporated milk make sure that the mixture is well blended you will notice that this gets thicker while you stir add Parmesan cheese stir this thoroughly just be sure that the cheese incorporates well with the white sauce continue to cook until the desired consistency is reached once the mixture gets this thick, it is ready we can now top this on the macaroni with meat sauce slowly pour the white sauce which is also called Mornay sauce make sure that to spread this evenly the white sauce should completely cover the macaroni make sure that your oven is preheated to 350F, which is around 177C top this with cheese you can put as much as you like if you will ask me, the more cheese, the richer this becomes we are ready to bake this for 15 to 20 minutes you can check the top after 15 minutes if its somewhat brownish, you can take ou of the oven otherwise, continue to bake for 5 minutes more at this point, our baked macaroni is ready let’s take it out of the oven let the temperature cool down and then we can serve it afterwards we’ll add chopped parsley you can also use chopped basil guys, thanks for watching this video!   3. Keep up with doing the subtitles! My 15 year old daughter is learning tagalog so when she watches your video, she will learn tagalog and how to cook too! She tried learning through some of your other videos, but she couldnโ€™t keep up with your tagalog, lol.
