On this episode of Market Fresh,
we’re making Krow Muu Thun or Braised Pork Stew. Let’s see what’s on our shopping
list and hit the market. First we stop for
our vegetables. The only fresher you’re going
to get at the market is to plant your veggies in your own garden. It’s always so fresh here! Next up, we need
to get some eggs. These are right from the farm
and they have a large variety! And now just a few more
ingredients before heading home to begin our preparations. For our Stew, the main
ingredients are: As always, we make sure to clean
and rinse everything thoroughly. Once we peel our carrots
we cut them into pieces. And then we measure out all the
herbs and spices that we’ll be using in our recipe. Now that’s everything’s
ready, let’s get cooking! First we need to marinate our
spare ribs – in a mixing bowl we add a little palm
sugar, salt and oil. Then we add our flavoring
ingredients like soy sauce, sesame, onion, garlic,
white pepper flour and onions. Once everything mixed well, we
add our spare ribs mixture to a lard pot of water. We’ll cook on low heat
until the meat is done, then we add in our carrots
and mushrooms and cook a little longer. When we’re ready to serve we
