Memorial Day Grilling Tips with Chef Juan Gonzalez

welcome back it is the Memorial Day weekend and a lot of people will be firing up the grill but to have a great cookout you have to have great food and that’s why we have chef Juan Gonzales the Central Market cooking school manager and I know that we’re talking about the grill but on my side here we’ve got some certain stuff that I’ll be eating throughout a lot of things all hot dog related here a hot dog related Memorial Day weekend we have the grill going so we’re gonna grill some hot dogs and we just figured what can we do besides this doing the the regular chili cheese it looks like you’re a pretty much a pretty much it sometimes they were pretty regular hot dogs so we just kind of do a little spin on the toppings all right so we have like an Asian style hot dog here with just a lettuce wrap actually an Italian style with tomatoes arugula some balsamic glaze and some mozzarella and Parmesan cheese more of a southern style with la pimento cheese you know a nice little grain mustard to go with that and some pickled tomatoes you can go more so than the Hat so what I wanted to build was a a more of a Mexican style hot dog here and basically what we’re gonna do is just use a little bit of this corn salad just kind of place it on top here and it’s just corn with jalapenos and some red bell peppers we’ll put a little bit of we have some approval from Sophia all right so we got here a just a little mixture of mayonnaise Duke’s mayonnaise and some Cholewa hot sauce yeah that’s it a little bit of cilantro maybe some grilled peppers here Wow a little bit of cheese okay oops or a little bit more than cheese yeah and some little chili powder on top and it just makes for a different type of hot dog so absolutely oh you could do all of this with a hot deck can you I’m sorry what is this so this is just chili that’s chili with some cheese curds and then you have like a little bit of some crunchy you can do shoestring potatoes this right here is just your typical mustard ketchup and this relish right here is a jalapeno and pickle relish which gives it just a little more heat is this kimchi kimchi is on top of this as well thank you we have a Asian slaw as well with some sesame seeds and we a sriracha aioli on top of a green we have one minute to go over what this I’m sorry we don’t have one minute but we have a few seconds okay so real quick Elvis style Sunday we have peanut butter cookie bananas we have some ice cream on top of that and then you have a pray Sophia ha ha pralines with bacon on top if you want to just place that on top that’ll be awesome praline with with bacon bacon and peanuts right there and it’s good to go is this this is the newest thing it’s the mochi ice creams which is very Asian and what it comes inside a rice flour wrapping so it’s already molded for you just put it on the platter add some condensed milk add some fresh fruit to that and you’re good to go Wow so if I ate one right now yeah absolutely yes the chocolate one you should go go for it just take a big Pike oh wow oh wow and your ice creams all in there so it’s really good you know you can find all of this info and to replay this segment I know how to click TV Singh Kham posted on the video tab on the home page after the show thank you so much chef thank you to chase your time Hardy
