welcome back everybody it is time to get cooking and today we are joined by Eric wolf and chef Rodriguez from smash burger hello hi how are you good how are you great it’s glad to be back so what are we making today and that you guys already have something on the grill it smells amazing in here so we’re gonna do a double barbecue bacon and cheddar burger of course utilizing our Certified Angus beef because we’re one of the very few restaurants in Tucson that offers Certified Angus beef and we’re gonna go with a an alternative protein a black bean burger so we’re going with a spicy Baja black bean burger yep and what is in that that means that burger well predominantly it’s predominantly black bean and and a little bit more seasoning and whatnot but it’s almost all black bean okay now by popular demand you bring him back this burger well actually a week from now on Tuesday we’re bringing back turkey burgers so we really sold a lot of them in the past and we’re bringing them back effective next Tuesday so we’re excited about it and I know a lot of people are gonna enjoy them again because I loved them before awesome and now you guys I love the whole smashed concept with a smash burger you have brought some condiments and sides and you have some smashed fries tell us about those well we these are all of our different sides that kind of set us apart from other restaurants we have we have fries we have our Brussels sprouts we have our haystack onions and our haystack onions you know like everything at smash burger is fresh so we slice the onions fresh bread them right before we fry them they don’t come in frozen like most restaurants we have sweet potato fries and we have our tots and they can come with whatever sauces that you’d like if you prefer dipping sauces like we have smash sauce ranch chipotle mayo a barbecue sauce a lot of different things okay so tell me what so what is in this burger this is the final product yes so this is our double barbecue bacon and cheddar and I’m getting hungry just of course it’s our Certified Angus beef it’s a double so it has barbecue sauce and cheddar cheese and then it’s topped with some of these haystack onions on top and it’s just really good we sell a lot of them this is our spicy spicy Baja black bean burger and so I should also say that these recipes are available on any of our protein so chicken beef black bean etc and it has a slice of habanero cheese habanero cheese guacamole jalapenos tomatoes onions lettuce in a spicy chipotle mayonnaise and a spicy chipotle bun so you get a kick out of there I’m gonna grab ready to so this one looks really good you like it what you were alluding to before we didn’t have smash fries we didn’t bring any today but you can smash our fries our sweet fries or our tots and what we do is we toss them in rosemary gallivant belif rosemary olive oil and garlic okay all right well if you guys want to get these recipes head over to our website koat.com we’ll be right back
