  1. Oliver and Quirin go big in Berlin, from Peking duck to super-rich ramen.

  2. Love this episode. Some words cannot be translated into english for example "urig" but u did a pretty good job trying. Grüße aus Deutschland 🙂

  3. I would like to see some other places explored as well. Perhaps India? Or Malaysia? Somehow, we always end up in Berlin or Williamsburg. What about showing a chef doing big things in Oakland, Ca: James Syhabout? Just a thought, I guess.

  5. I love how Chinese cooks all over the world look the same haha. Middle aged warriors balding, pot belly, wifebeater and cigarettes working the wok.

  6. dear Vice… im a huge fan of what you guys do… but ples… i know that 80% of the woruld can read subtitles… like thay are reading a book or talking to a person… but for some of us… its very hard to read as fast as you post it… i have servier dilexsia… and for me to watch a 12 minit programe takes me 30 mints to read all the subs…. would vice ples also do a seprit audio vershon or somthing? also i think that it would also be nice for people that might be deff… so your tectnikly killing 2 berids with 1 ston as thay say…. i know people will make fun of my spelling but that is there fucking problerm… vice i love your hole ideays about the way to bring things to life and let people know what is really going on in the world… but if you can…. ples make it a bit more posible for people like me and otheres to stop having to pueas very single scean just to read a subtitle… thanks…

ps… the two guys that are talk in this episod are only shown 10% of the time… so getting some one to translat in to audio should not botther them to much right?

    sorry for nagging..

  7. I really enjoyed this episode. It was far better than the usual hipster douche bags they follow around here in the US

  8. putting down a chef and his restaurant, getting served a fine meal then praising him is kind of two-faced and douchey.

  9. chef's night out is my favorite show ever.  why didnt this ep show up on my feed? anyway, like a good superfan i have found it.

  10. I hate this series because I know most of these restairents and they suck. It is no where near to real authentic food not like they always claim. + Berlin has no standarts in food at all everything thats eatable is fine.

  11. honestly, asian food in berlin sucks.  'good friends' was some of the worst chinese food i have ever had. I miss Hong Kong…

  12. I get getting paid for the video in advertisements, i guess it's necessary. But it bothers me to see fucking bullshit Olive Garden commercials on before watching legit food.

  13. Can anyone tell me what the name of the song at 3:25 is? I really like that genre of music but I can't find anything with that kind of flow and grit. I want to expand outside of Stevie V.

  14. No one serves ceviche with sweet potato PUREE in Peru! There is sliced boiled sweet potato, and corn on the side, but not potato puree. Also, it is supposed to b served in a bowl, with lots of lime juice. You pretty much made a fish tartar and not ceviche…

  15. Um. I stopped watching this at .38 seconds. When he was describing eggs made with little boy's pee. How… weird and creepy. what type of pedophile ass shit was he talking about?

  16. I wouldn’t believe that Asian guy. He thinks that Asian people have no manners. He talks down about his own culture. Super idiot. Sorry for the negativity but that Asian guy is so white washed. I can’t tolerate this ignorance. When you burp my mother would say “thank you?” What’s wrong this Asian guy. He is ashamed of his culture don’t talk down about your cultural background. Germans generally are so behind with the culinary world. So behind.

  17. Oliver Rother. My mom would say thank you. Bitte?! Was geht denn mit dem ab?Fehlt nur noch Sching Schang Schong… His friends didn’t say anything but he had to add those comments.
