Pork Belly 🐷 Braised with Vegetables [Incredible!] – Pabs Kitchen

hi everyone welcome to pabskitchen
today I am going to show you how to make braised pork belly with vegetables in
Nepali style first of all thank you so much for subscribing my channel for letting me
follow my passions you guys are great and it means a lot to me. I have here 600
grams of beautiful cut of pork belly I like to have a same amount of fat and meat the fat will help to flavor. I love to show you a little trick to clean it
run the back of the knife on the skin like this to remove the excess dirt, to
remove the hair heat the pan and add the cut with the skin side down
move it for a few seconds take the excess fat out from the upper part, now
boil the meat with little bit of lemon juice for 4 to 6 minutes to remove the
bad smell, meat is boiling let’s make the seasoning paste 3 cloves of garlic
and 1 teaspoon of ginger randomly chopped and put it into the mortar to
make the paste you can blend them as well if you want then put it into the
bowl and add 1/2 TSP of cumin powder 1 teaspoon of coriander powder quarter
teaspoon of garam masala and 2 tablespoon of water mix it well and
keep it aside 5 minutes passed take the meat out from the pot and keep it aside to cool it down so while our meat is resting let’s chop our
vegetables we have here one chayote in Nepal we call it schools we use it a lot
peel and dice it in big cubes you can buy it in Asian grocery store easily rest of ingredients dice in a big cubes
1 carrot 1 medium size of red capsicum 1 medium size of red onion 4 green chilies
just cut the top and make a cut, it gives very nice flavor, 2 medium size of
tomatoes chop 1 handful of coriander 1 tablespoon
of lemon juice and also we are going to use 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon of red chili
powder this is optional 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder 1 tablespoon of mustard
oil you can buy it in Indian grocery store salt at your taste 1/2 tsp of cumin
seeds one small stick of cinnamon 3 cardamoms and 3 cloves so
all fresh ingredients are chop let’s chop the meat, everything prepared let’s start
cooking turn on the gas and keep in a medium heat add the oil let it to be hot
add cumin seeds and whole spices for aroma try it until it gives aroma add
the meat cook it until it seals and get golden in color it takes around 7 to 10
minutes after 7 to 10 minutes it should look like this turn the heat to low add
the turmeric and chili powder mix it well it helps to give a nice color and
flavor add bay leaf and seasoning paste mix it well cook for 30 seconds add salt
and mix it well turn heat to medium let’s add the vegetables carrot, chayote and onion mix it well looks so good add 800 milliliters of water bring
to boil cover it and cook it for 20 minutes 20 minutes passed
let’s check the meat now let’s add chili and capsicum and let it cook for 5
minutes 5 minute passed let’s take it and add the tomato mix it well cover it and
let it cook for 5 more minutes everything seems good now I’m going to
take the bey leaf out and the cinnamon and add coriander then we are done looks
delicious turn off the gas let’s plate I already have the rice here that’s beautiful let’s taste mmm
delicious so today we’ll cook braised pork belly with the vegetable in

  1. I usually don't like Porc meat, but this look amazing, the vegetables and the color of this dish is incredible. I bet it tastes amazing as well, I'm going to try making it. Keep going Pabs!
