Take your garlic bulb and gently peel off the excess layers of papery skin. But leave a layer on, so the clove doesn’t
fall apart during roasting. Place the bulb in an oven-proof dish. Drizzle with oil, making sure that some of the oil goes between the cloves. Grind with salt. Then place into a preheated oven, at 180 degrees, for about 15 minutes. Once roasted, you’ll be able to separate the cloves easily. Remove the skin, and they’re ready to chop or mash into your dish.
