Quick Fish Cooking Tips | Lakeside Table

Hi guys, I’m Madalaine here at Lakeside table and today I’ve got a quick tip for you about cooking fish First of all, your fish should never smell fishy when you go to the grocery store or if you have a local fishmonger Smell it before you purchase it if it doesn’t smell like fresh sea air or nothing at all Give it back and walk away It’s also a good idea to have a cooler with ice packs in the car That way when you get home, it goes straight into the fridge a good rule of thumb when baking fish is bake it at 375 For 15 minutes for every half-inch If you’re steaming it the same rule applies 15 minutes for every half-inch at its thickest point You’ll know when it’s done when it’s completely opaque all the way through I hope these little tips were helpful and until next week go have fun in your kitchen and I’ll see you then. Bye guys
