I’m Garrett Oliver and I’m the brewmaster
of Brooklyn Brewery and essentially I’m the chef of the brewery this was once one of the great brewing
capitals of the entire world. In Brooklyn, we had 48 breweries and they made 10 percent of all the beer in the United States. Really, when we developed ShackMeister,
we had the burger and I’m kind of imagining when I’m eating the burger, what
would do the right thing here that would make you go, “Oh man, that is awesome!” He doesn’t want to craft a beer that is so strong and so unique that it’s just overpowers food. His whole idea is crafting a beer that that pairs perfectly with food. That’s why we love working with Garret and the Brooklyn team, to the point where we had our 10 year anniversary, we actually had them craft a very special beer called Shack-X. which is a special summer-long salute
to the decade of Shack. And then more recently, when we renovated our flagship location here in Madison Park, we crafted Phoenix: because literally we tore this Shack down and rebuilt it and it was rising out of the ashes we thought it would be a great moment to work with friends over in Brooklyn to create something very unique. We’ve been working with Shake Shack for
more than a decade and things just get better and better all the time. We love working with Garret, because even though we have many locations, some even worldwide as we keep growing, we like to have fun. They’re always willing to push the envelope on their end to work with us and do something that is very unique and meaningful for our guests. Brooklyn Brewery stands for something
good, in fact, we kind of think that maybe we stand for everything good.
