  1. @vicxcx1986 This is definitely not what would be called a "SpongeBob rip-off." SpongeBob SquarePants would have NOTHING to do with this cartoon – more obviously than not, because this short was produced over 50 years before his creation, and has little to do with him or his franchise. The setting of this cartoon wasn't even spun off into the setting of the SpongeBob series.
Oh, and for your information, I'm saying this for the sake of that user who said this was a "SpongeBob rip-off".

  2. "Small Fry" was created in 1939(one of the greatest years for Hollywood movies) and SpongeBob Squarepants was created May 1,1999(sixty years later).

  3. "how could he get his feet all soaking wet if he's a fish"
This video is a little funny better than the crap they have nowadays

  4. 3:52 I can see why Junior didn't have any respect for his mom. She expects Junior to listen to her and stay put. She also stays home and cry while not looking for her kid, who she supposedly cares about. The ma is always condescending to Junior.

  5. "He's such a devil I could whip him with joy" ???? That face she makes while she said that was creepy beyond words… I vaguely remember this from my childhood. I wonder what I was thinking when I saw it back then.

  6. Hmm he picked up a cigarette cause he saw the big people do it, and the mom is talking of how she could whip him with joy…… and the adults pushed him in a dark place with bad things…. it teaches a lesson but some things……

  7. Hello Verdemanthe1:

We need to talk about your so called comment. How did you really think that cartoon was a spongebob ripoff? Well the truth is, it wasn't a ripoff, and your nothing more than a no brainer who don't have the guts about what year was this cartoon was made. Since you don't know what this cartoon is, and I advise you to search up spongebob and Small Fry. Both take place from the ocean, and the differences is. There is no sponge under the water, and you son need to get a grip. I am not mad at you son, and your comment is misleading the point. Also, you need to look at the date very carefully. Don't say something very rude like this is a ripoff. Or else they will think that your a troll. My god, your making yourself a felony.

  8. OMG This is one of the great old Max Fleischer cartoons I Never forgot- due to the song & being creeped out by some of the "grown" fish. *Does Disney still show these old cartoons in the morning?

Thanks single Moms, you've taught us so much …

  12. Let that be a lesson to Junior, never smoke cigarettes, never drink beer, never to be a big fry member, and most of all, NEVER play hooky from school.

  13. Remember kids, never ever play hooky from school, never drink, never smoke, never play pool, and never hang around with big guys in a bar. Stay in school.

  14. I like how old cartoons were about humility, responsibility and developing maturity. Cartoons today just teach kids to believe in themselves, which children are inclined to do anyway.

  15. When you're looking for the Disney Short: Small Fry come across this by accident but watch its actually good:
    Happiness Noise
