Spaghetti Birthday Cake HOW TO COOK THAT Ann Reardon

Spaghetti Birthday Cake HOW TO COOK THAT Ann Reardon

Welcome to How To Cook That
I am Ann Reardon It is birthday season in our house and this
cake is for my husbands birthday and the kids are making it for him. His favourite dinner
is spaghetti and his cake of choice is carrot cake. So first of all to make the carrot cake part
put the sugar in a bowl, add the oil and then eggs and then mix it all together until it
is well combined. All of the recipe quantities that you need to make this recipe are on the
website howtocookthat.net in gram and ounces and cups and everything that people want from
all different countries, I’ll put a link in the description below this video to take you
through to the recipe. Then add the grated carrots, walnuts, spice
and baking powder and glace ginger. Then stir that really well as well. Then finally add the flour and stir until
just combined. Scoop some into two a greased bowls and smooth
off the top. Then microwave each one of those, microwave
them separately, for 5 minutes on high. Using oven gloves remove it from the microwave
and invert it onto a baking rack and leave it to cool. To make your cream cheese frosting beat the
butter and cream cheese together until it’s smooth and glossy.
Then add in the icing sugar and continue to beat it on high until it is smooth.
Add the mascarpone cheese and fold it into the frosting. If you don’t have mascarpone
you can use sour cream here instead. Put the cooled cake upside down onto a plate
and spread it with a thin layer of frosting. Scoop the rest into a piping bag fitted with
a large round nozzle. Then squeeze out the frosting all over the
cake to make it look like spaghetti. Make sure you get some on the plate too not just
on the plate so it looks more realistic. Then add your meatballs, we are using Ferrero
Rochers, you can make your own chocolate truffles if you prefer. Then add a little more frosting over the top
of each meatballs. Now for the tomato sauce. Mix your frozen
raspberries and lemon juice in a sauce pan until the raspberries are soft and falling
apart. Then push it through a sieve to get all of the seeds out.
Add the white chocolate to the hot raspberry sauce and stir until it is melted. Now we need to adjust the colour, tomatoes
have more of an orange hue so we need to add some yellow colour. That looks great except spaghetti sauce is
not that silky and smooth. Take a quarter of the second carrot cake and
crumble it up and mix it through the sauce. That looks perfect. Let that cool completely and then laddle it
over the spaghetti. Grate some white chocolate over the top for
parmesan cheese. And serve it with love. To follow How To Cook That you can subscribe
