THE DRIVE at Drummond Brewery!

Matt – hey it’s Matt from Drive mornings here with Matt Ryan and Leanne and we’re here at the beautiful Drummond brewery and we’re here with Kevin. I mean you guys have been around here for for a long
time now. you guys have really become a fixture here in North red deer and red deer
in general but you guys really support local and you guys really kind of work
with other local companies and you really are a local company yourself a
talk about the local aspect and why you guys like keeping it local so much Kevin – well I mean ultimately beer is made to be drank local and fresh right, it’s like going to your brewery should be just like
when you go to your local bakery right. There should be one on almost every corner, you should pick it up daily fresh right? Matt – I am totally on board with that! we have 18 employees here that we employ full time and you know, contributes back to the economy along with all the local farmers who buy all the barley, we get all of our malt from Alix… Matt – what kind of varieties do you have i mean obviously Drummond you guys are world famous for just making good beer but what different kind of varieties do you guys have? yes we do we make Drummond Draft, we also do a gluten-free beer as well. we’re the only guys in Western
Canada making a gluten-free beer It’s 100% percent made with sorghum so it caters to the celiac population and people looking for healthier lifestyle with a healthier beer overall. We make a Schwarzbier which is a black German lager called Dark Side Matt – I saw that, it was very a long long time ago in a
galaxy far far away Kevin – sure you could say that! And then
we’ve got a Belgian White Ale which is called The White Wit, really easy
drinking, refreshing with Valenica orange peel on the end and then we’ve got Gimme That Nut Brown Ale so it’s an american-style lager and then we’ve got Hop Bomb and it’s a West Coast style IPA.
