Here are the ingredients Ingredients: sliced pork, soy sauce, cooking wine, salt, green onions, ginger, garlic, aniseed, cinnamon, dried red pepper, crystal sugar and honey There are so many ingredients, but why isn’t there any oil? How can you cook without oil? This is the special part about Auntie’s Red-Braised Pork. You don’t need oil at all! oil? oil? Oil…[Singing] Let’s start cooking! First step, heat the pan with medium temperature Then, pour sliced pork into the pan (Step 1: Medium Temperature, fry the pork for 15 mins) (Water comes out after 5 mins) (Oil comes out after 5 mins) (15 mins, put pork into a plate) (Step 2 : Put pork into a plate that has sliced ginger under it) All right, we have fried the pork We have put sliced ginger in the plate Now, let’s put all the sauces into the plate (Step 3: Put soy sauce, cooking wine, garlic, green onions, aniseed and cinnamon in to the plate) Auntie, I saw others tried to fry all the ingredients together. This indeed is the special part. (Step 4 : Steam the pork in the plate for an hour) Yes, exactly! After steaming for an hour, I can smell the pork. It must taste good! Though you can smell it, it’s not our final step The pork is tender now The flavor from the ingredients has gone into the pork as well You can see a layer of oil, which means the oil has come out of the pork Wow. Fry it with crystal sugar for 15 to 20 mins) The sugar after 15 mins has melted You can see that the sugar has turned to a darker color.
