The Secret to How Sarson’s Vinegar is Made:
Craft Brewed to Perfection Sarson’s is a craft brewed vinegar. We don’t
make vinegar, we brew Sarsons and we have about a hundred full-time staff to do that.
Every day when you come in to the factory, you do get that wonderful smell of the vinegar
being converted. Compared to other vinegars which can be made
in 24 hours in a stainless steel vessel, we mature our vinegar in wooden vats. Some of
them have been in Sarson’s for about a hundred years. So, beautiful old Siberian pine, in
those vats, over seven days they will take on all the flavours. Very much like in making
whiskey, it goes through a maturing period taking in all the flavours of the wood. That’s
what makes Sarson’s special.
