Ventura Coast Brewing Company – Ventura Brewery Series

My name is Dan. I work at Ventura Coast Brewing Company. And I’m Kyle, and I work at Ventura Coast Brewing Company. Definitely couldn’t have opened it anywhere, other than here. Just the community support we had was pretty fantastic And we thought we could offer a lot of new options to the drinkers of Ventura. We try to cover the entire spectrum of styles. We make everything to the lightest beer to dark and strong beers to Belgian styles, lagers, and everything in between. I like light and hoppy beers like our Kaz Beer. It is a dry hop Pilsner. That’s my desert island beer. We have some used tanks to do some wild ales and sour beers And I think we laid down a pretty good foundation now we can start experimenting a little more doing some more unique styles. So, I think a fish taco best pairs with either our blonde or one of our light lagers. Dan kind of touched on the beer styles too. We really work hard to make a really approachable product line. We get a ton of people in here who have never been to a brewery. And are sort of trying craft beer for the first time. The events we have the open mic nights, the Artist’s Brew, and the events in the back I think pull in a different crowd of people. We opened with five beers. Now, we pretty much consistently have ten. We definitely kind of found our consumer base and our regulars. It’s hard to beat the beaches I think. I mean the State Beaches, the Pier, and the Point. I think it’s hard to beat any of the street fairs. Fourth of July, St. Patrick’s Day, and Halloween. It’s just downtown really comes alive. Well, we have our anniversary coming up, October 22nd. Cooking up a lot of new special beers, an anniversary beer just for that. And kind of bringing back some old favorites. I mean we have a good sense of community amongst all of the breweries. Missing a bag of grain, call over , pick it up. Something breaks or borrow something, it’s a pretty open community for sure I feel like we’ve integrated really well. All of our neighborhood businesses are extremely friendly and they come in for growler fills all the time. Partnered for a lot of events with the downtown Ventura organization Downtown as a whole has been really welcoming.
