WPW10308477 – Replacing Range Bake Element – W10308477, AP4564098, PS2580782, 1719751

Hi I’m Cherylin and today were going to be
replacing the bake element in a Whirlpool electric range. You may need to replace your
bake element if your oven does not heat up when it’s set to the bake setting. This repair
should only take about 15 minutes. For this repair were only going to need two tools;
Philips head screwdriver and a pair of pliers. If you don’t already have a new bake element,
they are available for purchase on our website. Before repairing any appliance, always make
sure it is completely disconnected from its power source. Now we can open the door. Next
we can remove the oven racks. The bake element is located on the bottom of the oven. It’s
held in by two Philips head screws in the back. So we’ll start by unscrewing those.
Now we need to gently pull the bake element forward so we can see the wires at the back.
Were gonna need to remove the wires from the terminals with
the pliers. Now that we have our old element
out, we can install our new one. Simply place it right back up against those terminals and
plug them on. Now we can line up the screw holes again. Rescrew in those screws. Now
we can replace the oven racks. The notch goes up top. And the bent end go towards the back.
Tilt it in. And were good to go. Not too hard, right? Here’s a quick recap. All of our OEM
parts and tools are available for purchase on our website. Check em out along with our
social media sites here.
